Used Book Sale to benefit LVHS

In preparation for the upcoming Used Book Sale fundraiser at the Lancaster Virginia Historical Society, volunteers and staff members recently sorted and priced more than 600 nonfiction books on a variety of topics related to local, state, national, and world history, biography, culture, and genealogy.
The sale begins with a preview for LVHS members only between 2-6 p.m. Friday. New members are welcome to join at the door or online with an annual dues contribution of $35 per person or $60 per household. The sale opens to the public on Saturday, and continues on Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, inside the renovated Chilton House that will soon become the new LVHS Library.
A sample listing of many of the titles that will be for sale can be viewed on the LVHS website. However, shoppers will need to come to the event to discover the full inventory and items cannot be reserved or held.
