The U.S. Coast Guard issued a missing person report Monday on Timothy “Pirate Daddy” Henderson of Orlando, Florida.
According to a post shared on the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Virginia Facebook page, Henderson left Salty Bottom Blue Oysters, a Gwynn’s Island business, at around sunset on Sunday, Nov. 24, in a 10-14-foot black aluminum jon boat and appeared to be headed for Hole in the Wall. As of Tuesday morning, he had not been located.
Petty Officer Ryan Noel with USCG 5th District Public Affairs said that 337 nautical miles had been searched by 9 a.m. Tuesday.
“There are a lot of assets involved,” he said.
Those assets included a 29-foot response boat from Station Milford Haven, an MH60 helicopter from Air Station Elizabeth City, a 45-foot response boat from Station Cape Charles, and the Coast Guard Cutter Sailfish out of Little Creek. In addition, the Virginia Marine Resources Commission had deployed a fixed-wing aircraft and a sonar-capable asset.
