The United States Air Force Heritage Brass of the USAF Heritage of America Band will give a free public concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Hayes.
The concert is part of Bethany UMC’s George Nelson Memorial Concert Series.
Heritage Brass is a pioneering symphonic brass ensemble that brings the military tradition of brass and percussion to the concert stage, said a press release. The ensemble of professional Airman-musicians presents a diverse repertoire featuring orchestral transcriptions, patriotic favorites, jazz standards, new compositions, and distinctive arrangements.
Activated in 1941, the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band has a rich history of inspiring public patriotism and enhancing esprit de corps among all the U.S. military service branches, said the release.
