‘Upcycled Fashion Show’ benefit to be held at Bay School

The “Upcycled Fashion Show,” a benefit to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, in the Art Speaks Gallery at the Bay School Community Arts Center, 279 Main Street, Mathews.
The focus of the show will be on revitalizing your wardrobe, said a press release. It will provide tips on current fashion trends, dressing in a Bohemian style, sleuthing thrift shops, and using line and pattern to complement your physique.
“The upcycled wardrobe pieces will be snipped, stitched, gathered, painted, and paired to suit the style of our delightful needs,” said the release.
The show is the brainchild of local artist Pamela Manz, who takes secondhand women’s clothing and artfully redesigns the pieces into one-of-a-kind fashions with creative twists, said the release.
