“Hands Up Movement … It’s A Spiritual Thing”—a unity motorcycle ride—will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at Thomas Hunter Middle School in Mathews.
All bikers are welcome, as the procession goes from Mathews to Middlesex and will end up at Walmart in Gloucester, according to Steven A. Forrest, who is organizing the event.
“Let us show the world that we can be different and still come together peacefully to bring awareness to the ugliness and social injustice we have been seeing in our country and the world,” said Forrest said. “The Hands Up Movement is not just a motorcycle ride but a movement to bring people together spiritually, mentally and physically.”
The base scripture for the gathering is Ephesians 6:12—“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
