Ware Academy’s boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams have relished in undefeated seasons so far. The boys beat Chesapeake Academy on Jan. 11 by a final score of 47-31 and the girls also defeated Chesapeake, 36-0. The Ware Waves faced Walsingham Academy for the second time this season on Jan. 18. The boys won, 58-28, with Mekhi Ward leading the boys in scoring with 24 points. The girls beat Walsingham, 34-10, with Hannah Lambert leading her team with 19 points. Ware Academy is offering a student-athlete scholarship for the 2023-2024 school year. Applicants must be in grades sixth through eighth. Email meghan.cunningham@wareacademy.org for more information.
