UDC scholarship

Captain Sally Tompkins Chapter 2626 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy awarded its 2024 Captain Sally Tompkins $1,000 scholarship to Evelyn Mannix of Virginia Beach. Mannix, the granddaughter of UDC member Martha Frame, recently attended a luncheon in her honor. Mannix has just graduated from the Masters Esthetics Program at The Chrysm Institute of Esthetics in Virginia Beach, a two-year program. She is now in the process of applying for a position in her field. Her ultimate goal is to work in a dermatology office. She will continue working at the Cavalier On the Hill Spa in Virginia Beach as a receptionist, while attending school. Certified as an Esthetician, she will seek employment to utilize her real passion.
