Mahlon Chase Horsley, a 2021 Gloucester High School graduate, was this year’s recipient of the Martin J. Menges Scholarship, the Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation announced. Horsley will attend Virginia Tech in the fall with a focus on agriculture technology. “He hopes to have a farm of his own one day, and we hope—he may settle down back home and become a producer that partners with our Soil and Water Conservation District,” the release stated.
