The Gloucester County Department of Emergency Management held its quarterly breakfast with representatives from faith-based groups at The Gloucester Institute, also known as Holly Knoll, on Feb. 25. Special guest Bill Adams from the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office discussed restarting the Gloucester Triad program and also provided the assembled faith leaders with information on common scams.
“I retired in 2015,” said Adams about his career with GCSO. “I was a captain.”
One month after his retirement, Adams took on a crime prevention role with GCSO and has been serving the community in that capacity ever since.
The purpose of restarting a Triad group in Gloucester is to keep open communication between the senior population and local law enforcement and to help inform that community of current crimes and vulnerabilities.
