Tracy Renee Murphy, age 56, of Gloucester, died on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Tracy was born on January 4, 1969 to Joyce Nelson and Gerald ‘Lou Lou’ Nelson. She treasured time with her family, especially her girls and lifelong best friend, Nikki West, trips to the Outer Banks, watching scary movies, and eating hot wings. Tracy was very competitive and loved to play board games, cards, horseshoes, and badminton. She enjoyed working at Home Depot in the flooring department, where she met her good friend, Paula Boyd. She always worked very hard caring for everyone in her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Allen Murphy; her sister-in-law, Madonna “Susie” Price, and her uncle, Paul Leon Brown. Tracy is survived by her daughters, Miranda Murphy and Danielle Woodard, and bonus daughter, Lauren Eggleston; sisters, Connie Greene and Freda Murphy Brown; nieces, Shalen Espinoza, Eve Eggleston, Lakin Millen, and Avery Millen, and her nephews, Paul Eggleston II, Jordan Millen, Ira Preston Millen II, and Nick Millen. The family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 6-7:30 p.m. Funeral service at Hogg Funeral Home began on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
