The Other Moving Company is now offering equipment rental services at its Hayes location, located right off George Washington Memorial Highway. TOMCO Rental started offering these services earlier this month.
Brian Hudgins, owner of TOMCO, said that he is “always looking to grow” and is “always looking to solve a need or solve a problem within the community.”
After Freedom Rentals closed towards the end of October, it left limited places locally for the community to rent equipment.
Hudgins said that he saw on social media that people were concerned about having to either go to Williamsburg or Newport News to rent equipment.
TOMCO decided to start buying equipment in order to provide this particular need for the community. In November, Freedom Rentals auctioned off its equipment and TOMCO purchased most of it. TOMCO also brought equipment from other places.
