The Tidewater Oyster Gardeners Association will hold its fall Oyster Float Sale and Educational Event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Camp Kekoa, 1083 Boys Camp Road, Kilmarnock.
This event is an opportunity to get oyster floats, bags, accessories and spat (oyster seed), depending upon availability. Master Oyster Gardeners will be on hand to discuss how to get started growing oysters, as well as providing information on the latest techniques and regulations.
The sale is one of TOGA’s primary fundraising activities, with all proceeds benefitting the 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Due to limited supplies, pre-orders are required by visiting www.oystergardener.org, clicking on “Events” and “Fall Float Sale” and submitting an order no later than Oct. 1.
