Tiny House Project

The Gwynn’s Island Civic League Foundation recently donated $1,000 to Mathews High School in support of the school’s Tiny House Project. “We chose this project as it supports education in all skilled trades,” said foundation chair John Mathiesen. “It is a perfect example of what a public/private partnership can do for our students and community.” This is the first MHS project of this magnitude, and the goal is to sell the finished tiny house to support future endeavors. To make a donation, call MHS principal Drew Greve at 804-725-3702. Shown, from left, are Mathiesen, MHS carpentry and building trades teacher Wes Robbins, school superintendent Dr. David S.
