Tina Michelle Kelley, 58, of Mathews, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022. Tina was born on March 20, 1964 in Richmond, Virginia, to Faith and the late Archie Carter. She accepted the Lord as her Savior at the age of 8, with her sisters, at Antioch Baptist Church in Susan, Virginia, where she was a lifelong member. Tina graduated from Mathews High School in 1982 and attended Christopher Newport Community College.

Tina was preceded in death by her father, Archie Carter; granddaughter, Gia Mullen, and brother-in-law, Darryl Farmer. She is survived by her mother, Faith Carter; her children, Brian Carter Kelley and Kecia Michelle Kelley; her sisters, Teresa Farmer and Trudi Karpel (Charles); her brothers, Tyrone White and Archie Carter; her grandchildren, Nyla and Mia Mullen and Killian Kelley; her nephews and niece, C.J. and Christina Karpel, and Tyler Farmer; as well as a host of cousins, neighbors, friends, and community members that supported her throughout her life.

A viewing will be held at Antioch Baptist Church on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Antioch Baptist Church in Tina’s memory.
