Tidewater Physical Therapy breaks ground on new Gloucester clinic

Tidewater Physical Therapy, Inc., broke ground on Sept. 7 for its new Gloucester clinic.

The 8,000-square-foot building is being built on property adjacent to the building where it now leases space on Fox Hunt Lane near Gloucester Court House. Stephanie Heinatz, communications coordinator for the Newport News-based company that has approximately 30 offices from Virginia Beach to Richmond, said the new Gloucester office will greatly increase its space when it opens late next spring.

The present clinic has 2,100 square feet, Heinatz said, and the new clinic will occupy 4,000 square feet of the building to start. Corporate officials have not decided whether to retain the rest of the building for expanded clinic purposes or to lease it to another business.

With larger space, Heinatz said the company plans to hire additional therapists to serve more clients, and add early morning and evening appointments.
