Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Sept. 6, for the annual Book Author Luncheon hosted by the York River Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons as a fundraiser.
The luncheon will be held at noon on Friday, Oct. 20, at Providence Baptist Church on Providence Road in Gloucester.
This year’s guest author is mystery writer Maria Hudgins. She is the author of six “Dotsy Lamb Travel Mysteries,” stories that are set in places all over the world that she visits ahead of time. She has also written the “Lacy Glass Series.”
Door prizes consist of two tickets valued at $100 to the Ferguson Center of the Arts for a show of the winner’s choice, a free dinner for two at the Farmasea Restaurant in Gloucester, a framed painting by P. Buckley Moss, and a stained-glass piece by Angel Rowe.
Tickets are $30 and are available from circle members or at The Silver Box on Main Street in Gloucester.
