Tickets go on sale March 3 for the next Abingdon Ruritan Club Seafood Festival, which will be held on May 21 in Bena. This is a fundraising event which will benefit local nonprofit organizations and individuals in the community.
Food at the all-you-can-eat-and-drink event include oysters (fried, roasted and on the half shell), clam chowder, clams (fritters and on the half shell), fried and grilled scallops, steamed and grilled shrimp, fish, steamed crabs, BBQ with coleslaw, hush puppies, French fries, cake and ice cream. Beverages include water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Alcoholic beverages include beer, wine and mixed drinks.
Tickets are $75 and will be sold by club members, Tillage Automotive, Whitley’s Peanuts, Weatherwax Insurance, Hogge Real Estate and Lyn’s Mini Mart. No tickets will be sold at the gate. Everyone, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
There will be a popular live band for listening and dancing, Parking is free.
