Tickets for the Lancaster Virginia Historical Society’s ninth annual “Shuckin’ on the Lancaster Green” Oyster Roast fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 9, remain on sale. The ticket price, which includes all food and drinks, will increase from $65 to $70 on Oct. 18.
According to LVHS executive director Karen Hart, attendance is limited to 150 people. Steamed and raw oysters, chicken stew, ham and bean soup, loaded hot dogs, sides and beverages are on the menu. Acoustic guitarists Toby Calloway and Larry Heatwole of Gloucester will entertain.
Advance tickets are required and will not be sold at the gate.
The LVHS Fall 50/50 Raffle is also underway, with tickets available for $5 each or $20 for five tickets for the chance to win a cash prize of up to $1,000.
