Three teachers appointed in Gloucester

The Gloucester County School Board made three teacher appointments during its Jan. 11 meeting. Jennifer Quiroga of Gloucester, was appointed as a special education/autism instructor at Abingdon Elementary School, Arnita Bailey of Newport News, was appointed as a special education teacher at Gloucester High School and Samantha Cooper of Richmond, was appointed as a seventh grade science teacher at Peasley Middle School.

Also, Larry Teagle and Gladys Tinsley of Gloucester, were appointed to support positions.

Among transfers, Peasley assistant principal Toni Childress was moved to the position of truancy officer, and Paul McLean, a coordinator with student services, was moved to supervisor of career and technical education.
