Thomas E. “Man” Hall, 77, of Achilles, was called to his Heavenly Home Dec. 11, 2014, surrounded by his loved ones.
Man served his country in the U.S Army. He loved the water, working the surrounding rivers and bays as a waterman, and building the workboats of the area. Man enjoyed Bluegrass music and played several different instruments with a number of bands. He lived life to the fullest, loved being with his family and many friends. He will be missed by his family along with many friends in the community.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mamie Hall; mother and father, Gertrude and Hiram Hall; two brothers, Kenny Hall and James Hall, and a sister, Dorothy Walker.
He is survived by his son, William Hall; daughters, Michelle Fatony and husband Dennis, and Crystal Kellum and husband Carlton “Bubba”; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services conducted by the Rev. John Downs were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Achilles Friends Church. Interment with military honors followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, from 7-8:30 p.m.
