Thomas Beverly Jenkins, 79, of Gloucester, passed away Dec. 14, 2011.

He was a Korean War era veteran with the U.S. Army and retired in 1977 as a Supervisor with Central Construction Co.

Beverly was a lover of animals, a history buff and enjoyed fishing, especially after his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; parents, Benjamin C. and Linda M. Jenkins; and brothers, Ben C. and James L. Jenkins.

He is survived by daughters, Beverly Gay Batdorf and husband Mark, Tiffany Sterling and husband Barry, and Lisa Shelton and husband Keith; son, Timothy W. Jenkins and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Alex, Kim, Erica, Sara, Christina, Lindsey, Carter, Jennifer and Jessica; and great-grandson, Riley.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home by the Rev. Fred Reed. Interment with military honors was in Gloucester Point Cemetery.
