This foodie likes to cook, and likes to know where to dine out

Do I want to cook a meal at home today or do I want to dine out? The answer can be found on the Facebook page of Middle Peninsula Foodies. It’s here browsers can learn what restaurants are serving or specialize in, what others are cooking, new ideas in the culinary world and some great recipes. Its creator is Adrienne Spillane who started this program when she moved to Gloucester.
“Not knowing the restaurants in our new area and having been using a Facebook site for such information while living in Newport News, it gave me an idea. I started my program for the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck in 2021. Today we have over 1,000 members.” Not only are these members connected electronically, they have begun having weekends meetings with different members in groups for lunch at one of the restaurants. “We have some restaurants as members but would like to have more.”
