‘Think Big’ exhibit coming to Bay School

An opening reception for “THINK BIG: A Large Works Show” will be held from 5–7 p.m. on Friday, March 30, in the Art Speaks Gallery at the Bay School Community Arts Center, Mathews. The show will run through April 23.
“THINK BIG” features pieces that are all four feet tall or larger. They were created by 10 artists working in a variety of media. Gallery coordinator Saraya Cheney said that most people aren’t exposed to larger pieces except in a museum setting.
“We hope that, with this show, we’re able to bring a bit of the museum experience to Mathews,” she said. “It’s certainly going to be an unusual show, complete with a 17.5-foot-long sculpture of four-eyed tigers, graffiti, and a seven-foot-long vista of the Grand Canyon.”
The opening reception is free and open to the public. “All are welcome to attend,” said the release. Light refreshments and drinks will be served.
