“They Live in Guinea,” a documentary about the watermen of Guinea and their emotional and economic struggle with changes over the past half century, aired on public TV in 1996. Here, documentary producer and Guinea resident Sharon Zuber discusses the film with narrator C.B. “Buck” Rowe Jr., the unofficial Mayor of Guinea, who served as the project’s narrator. Rowe, who passed away in 2005, served as the community’s postmaster and was owner of C.B. Rowe & Son’s General Store, which now serves as Buck’s Store Museum.
