The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society’s animal welfare programs and services touched the lives of more than 7,000 pets in 2022.

It is our pleasure to share with you the following heart connections and success stories from 2022.
Loretta, an adorably friendly senior beagle, entered our care in January 2022 when she was picked up as a stray. She tested positive for heartworm disease for which she was treated through our Help for Hearts program. Loretta quickly became beloved by the GMHS team for her sweet nature and beagle bark and in March 2022, Loretta made her heart connection. She even has a beagle sibling to spend her days with.
