Shelley Kelsey, at left, and Matthew Bychowski, right, welcomed in 2025 last Wednesday by taking part in Gloucester, Parks, Recreation and Tourism’s Full Hike of Beaverdam Park. The two met at the Main Entrance, where they were shuttled by Gloucester PRT ranger Tamara Priestley (center) to the Fary’s Mill Road entrance, spending the day making their way back along 9.5 miles of nature trails to where they started. Priestley said that the New Year’s Day group was smaller than usual. Gloucester PRT has other Full Hikes planned at Beaverdam for Saturday, Jan. 18 and Saturday, Feb. 15.
