We want to express our thanks and appreciation to the Gloucester Community Foundation for selecting us to receive their first Volunteer and Community Service Award for our work with the Church of St. Therese Bread for Life Food Pantry.
We also want to thank Susan and Bob Quinzel, managers of the Bread for Life Food Pantry, for nominating us for this award and Father James M. Cowles, pastor of St. Therese and Bread for Life board member, for his letter of support.
With this honor, we also received a $250 grant from the Foundation, which we have designated to go to the Bread for Life Food Pantry to help in its continuing distribution to the needy families in our community.
We also want to thank our wonderful volunteers, without whom we could not accomplish all the tasks required at the food pantry, and all the great supporters of the food pantry who donate money and food to help in continuing this great community ministry.
