My connections with the Tidewater Telephone Company as manager of the Mathews system having been severed, its office is no longer in my place of business.
I wish to thank the public and the phone holders in particular for their almost universal courtesy and will say during the entire four years I served them, with but few exceptions, I met with uttermost deference. Most respectfully, F. Theo. Miller.

Mr. William P. Hudgins, while out hunting on Thanksgiving Day, shot and killed a wild turkey which dressed eight pounds. We must congratulate Mr. Hudgins upon being such a good marksman.
We learn that there will be several Old Virginia house warmings given this Christmas. The writer is in hopes of it being true.
