Jessica D. Burtchett of Gloucester, recently received her insurance license from the state Commissioner of Insurance for Virginia.

Burtchett is an agent at Teagle Insurance, located off Main Street near Gloucester village. She began working there in June 2009.

Having completed state licensing tests, Burtchett now carries out office duties as well as sells a variety of insurance lines, specializing in commercial lines. She handles many types of insurance, trying to tailor each client’s needs to available products such as workmen’s compensation needed for many local contractors and other businesses.

Born in Richmond, Burtchett was raised in King William County. Previously, she lived in Mathews for three years before moving to Gloucester six years ago. She is a graduate of Mathews High School.
