Tania A. Lorenzo, age 54, died of ovarian cancer comfortably in her home in Mathews, on July 15, 2012, leaving her sister and housemate, Sonia Sadler.
Thank you to her guardian, Rachel Varnes, for always having Tania’s best interest. Thank you to her niece, Renee Whetzel for helping to care for Tania during her illness. Also, a special thanks to those that remained supportive of Tania: Bobbi Crockett, Kat Sharp, Dawn Russell, Yon White, Deborah Stout, Mary Burton, Lynn and Hope and the staff at Richardson’s Cafe in Mathews.
Tania was an active member of her community delivering Meals On Wheels in Gloucester and volunteering at Riverside Convalescent Center-Mathews for many years. Tania also enjoyed airplane rides at Hummel Field, boat rides, musicals, dancing, bowling swimming, massages, helping others, eating out and attending services at Saluda Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
