The Tappahannock Art Gallery, located at 200 Prince Street in downtown Tappahannock, will kick off its holiday art exhibition by hosting an opening reception on Friday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The reception will provide an opportunity for visitors to view the works created by the 24 TAG member artists, and have the chance to purchase these pieces. With a variety of styles, sizes, colors and materials, the works will make for the perfect holiday gift, and also for any season.
New guild member Vicki Owens shows stained-glass birds, snowflake spinners, and Santa in the Water Street window of the gallery. Frank Rixey’s watercolors add a soft classical elegance to the gallery walls, a release stated.
The holiday show also offers smaller works for sale. Liz Harper and Stephanie Smith have painted small canvases with local landscapes and farm scenes.
