An opening reception for the Tappahannock Art Gallery’s summer photography show, “Our Places and People,” will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the gallery at 200 Prince Street.
The summer juried show is focused on photography this year, said TAG executive director Paige Conner Totaro. Over 50 photographs werer submitted that reveal a place, person, or emotion that speaks to the theme of “Our Places and People.”
Show judge John McDonnell, retired Washington Post photographer, made his final selection of 20 images in preparation for Friday’s opening reception. Visitors are invited to come out to see the exhibit, sip some wine provided by ACT XII Wine and Provisions, and snack on charcuterie from 1710 Tavern.
“Date Night in Tappahannock” happens before and after the reception along both ends of Prince Street and Water Lane, starting at 4:30 at ACT XII’s wine tasting. More information can be found at https://tapparts.org.
