CRACKER CANDY

1 box saltine crackers
1 stick butter
½ c. dark brown sugar
12 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Place crackers side by side, one layer, on foil to fill the pan. Melt butter and sugar in a medium saucepan. Drizzle over saltines. Bake 6 to 8 minutes, until bubbly; remove from oven. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the crackers. Bake 2 more minutes, until morsels are semi-melted. Remove from oven and spread the melted chocolate morsels over the crackers. Sprinkle with almonds. Place in refrigerator to chill for several hours. Can be placed in freezer to speed up the process. Break into pieces and store in refrigerator or freezer.
