Mathews County Against Poverty is an initiative of the Mathews Community Foundation along with the Mathews Resource Council and Mathews County Social Services.
MCAP is organized into five committees—Affordable Housing, Child Care, Water/Septic, Transportation and Life Skills—each working on areas that affect many people in Mathews regardless of their financial status.
The Child Care committee is seeking to assess the specific child care needs in Mathews and has prepared a comprehensive survey for all those who have parenting responsibilities in Mathews County. All responses are totally anonymous and only aggregate data will be shared.
