Supporting MHS football

The Mathews Rotary Club recently presented a $1,000 donation to Mathews High School Athletics for the school’s football program. Mathews Rotary Club president Mike Pittman, at left, and the club’s Community Services Chair Ron Lambert, right, made the presentation to head football coach Dustin Mullins and MHS Athletic Director Amy O’Neil. Funds for the gift came from five annual events held by the club in the community. After a two-year hiatus, Mathews football will return to the gridiron this fall, starting with a home game on Aug. 30 against John Marshall.
