Support for music departments

The Gwynn’s Island Civic League recently made donations to the music departments at Thomas Hunter Middle School and Mathews High School. Above, former THMS music director Michael Loveless, at left, accepts a $2,050 donation from Gwynn’s Island Civic League Foundation chairman John Mathiesen on July 25. The funds came from a Dine to Donate fundraiser at Southwind Café in early June, with a portion of the day’s sales earmarked for THMS music. The foundation and community partners C&F Bank, Next Home Realty/Charlene Winter, and Noble Pest Control added funds, as well.
