The Gloucester Main Street Association will launch the 2014 season of its Summer Nights Market next Wednesday, June 4.
The markets are scheduled from 4:30-7 p.m. each Wednesday in June, July and August on Carriage Court behind the Gloucester Museum of History.
“We’re very excited for the reopening of our Summer Nights Market,” said Ashley Gilmartin, executive director of the Gloucester Main Street Association. The markets will take place rain or shine.
The event is a certified farmers’ market, Gilmartin said, and hosts some special nights with local business partners that will feature a carnival theme, a celebration of art, and other promotions.
Live entertainment will be regularly scheduled during the series, with groups to perform including Mercy Creek, Stones Throw and Borderlands.
