Arts on Main in Gloucester is offering a number of summer art classes for children, from a class on creating a fairy garden—Meet Me in the Garden—to one on creating art that you can eat—Edible Science: Living Systems.
Meet Me in the Garden, which will be held from 9 a.m. to noon today, is for ages 5-1. Each child will create a fairy garden complete with fairy, flowers, and furniture, along with a stepping stone designed by the child and wind spinners to hang in the garden. The cost is $25.
Edible Science: Earth Patterns is also for ages 5-11. It will be held this afternoon from 1-4 p.m. Children will learn about the layers of soil by creating them with edible items in a cup and make edible candy rocks. They will create a collage and pebble art while learning about the earth’s crust. The cost is $25.
