The Gloucester County Public Schools Transportation team collaborates annually with the Gloucester Moose Lodge to collect donations from the community to provide essential school supplies for students in need. This year, Transportation’s Dispatcher Jennifer Jernigan (right), school bus driver Anne Nelson (center) and community engagement coordinator Antonia Lara (not pictured) joined forces at Walmart to collect donations and promote the cause on Aug. 3. School superintendent Dr. Anthony Vladu (left) made an appearance to show his support. Every single donated item goes directly to students in the division and benefits 80-100 students each year by ensuring they have the supplies necessary for learning. According to Director of Transportation Tanya Deckard, supplies will soon be distributed to students. Any surplus items will be sent to schools to assist students throughout the year.
