More than 60 pieces of art by students of Gloucester’s public, private and home schools are on display at Arts on Main in Gloucester. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
The great diversity of creative expression by the show’s artists, aged 5 to 15, shows the richness with which children see the world, said a press release.
The show will be on display through Friday, March 16. The public is invited to cast a vote for the piece that should be the winner of the People’s Choice Award, said the release. The winner will receive a certificate and $25.
A public reception for the show will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 17. Light refreshments will be served.
Pieces from the show will be used to illustrate the 2019 Gloucester County Art Student Scholarship Calendar, which will be sold to raise funds for graduating seniors who will be studying art at the college level. The 2018 calendar is still available for purchase at Arts on Main.
