Strubling (Strib) William Armstead of Gloucester, was born in Wilmington, Del., on November 10, 1950, to the late William and Thelma Newman Armstead. He was married to Pamela Griffin-Armstead. Strib transitioned Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at home, with Pam by his side.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Pamela; one son, Cleon Stewart (LaTasha) of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Renee Gaines of Wilmington; niece, Terricia Gaines of Charlotte, N.C.; great-nephew, Travis Gaines; nephew, Wesley Gaines of Wilmington; two grandchildren; devoted aide, Violet Thompson of Urbanna, Va., and a host of cousins and friends. A special recognition goes to Clinton Tymes, and Richard and James Simmons, who visited Strib every year for the Super Bowl.
Viewing will be held Friday, April 26, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday morning from 10-12. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2004, at noon. All services will be held at St. Paul Baptist Church, Gloucester, Va.
