Families enjoying the peaceful walk around the pond at Woodville will soon be able to share a green story together.
Thanks to a grant from the Earth Day Network, the Gloucester Clean Community office is installing a storybook trail at Woodville Park in Ordinary.
Meant to encourage families to get outdoors for healthy physical fitness while allowing them to remain distant from others, the storybook trail at Woodville is a fun, educational activity that places the pages from a children’s book at stops along a trail. Children of all ages are encouraged to enjoy the outdoors and read a book together at Woodville while staying safely apart.
The trail will launch this Saturday with a small outdoor event from 10 a.m. to noon that will include a visit and story readings from the Gloucester Library’s Bookmobile and a rock-painting activity.
