On Super Bowl Sunday, the second largest U.S. food consumption day following Thanksgiving, the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles will vie for the world’s football championship.
The game is the thing, but beer and food take center stage. No matter whether you are watching the game, viewing at home, sitting on a pub stool or in a restaurant, attending a party or visiting friends, it’s where your plate will be filled.
Super Bowl food is eaten the entire game, half-time and during commercials. Americans certainly know how to chow down on Game Day. 
Bloggers, foodies and newspapers around the nation have compiled statistics showing how amazingly food has become associated with this special football day. No matter where viewers watch, they all will be doubling their daily consumption of snacks, downing more the 33 million pounds in one day. 
Potato chips lead the list of snacks and fans will consume 11.2 million pounds and 4.3 million pounds of pretzels. ...
