Stewart Gallery spring show reception Friday

Stewart Gallery on Main Street in Gloucester is welcoming artists from the Mid-Atlantic region, as well as the public, to visit its judged and juried spring art show during March.
The opening reception, at which judging and the presentation of awards will take place, will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday. There will be refreshments, chats with the artists, and viewing of the works. Admission is free.
The theme this year is “Shades of Green,” said a press release, with entries from Gloucester, Mathews, Northumberland, James City and Henrico counties as well as Charlottesville, Williamsburg, Richmond, and even Potomac, Maryland, said a press release.
Fifty-nine entries were submitted in February and evaluated by jurors Marjorie Perrin and Diego Sanchez, said the release. Perrin, an artist and teacher, has exhibited work and led classes at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art since the 1980s.
