Stephen “Steve” Courtney Antill, 57, longtime resident of Gloucester, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 29, 2023.
Born on March 3, 1966, the son of Charles and Sandra (Warren) Antill, Steve was raised in Yorktown, Virginia alongside siblings Chuck and Amy. He graduated from Tabb High School in 1985, spent many years working as an architect for the Newport News Shipyard, and later ran his own company as an independent contractor.
Steve was a cheerful and optimistic man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, automotive mechanics, engineering, and building. He loved to have a good time with friends and was known to joke around often.
His survivors include his daughter, Courtney and husband Jeremy; stepchildren, Samantha and Christopher; brother, Chuck and wife Michelle; nieces, Lauren, Ashley, Amanda, and Ashley; nephew, Matthew, and many friends who were like family.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Sandy and Jack Wright (2015); father, Charley Antill (2021), and sister, Amy Pierro (2021).
A Celebration of Life will be held at Damon & Company in Gloucester, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 20.
