Stephen Lawrence “Larry” Brown of Susan, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Larry lived a good, long life of 83 years and touched many lives in his time.

He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America for 36 years, helping mold and raise a number of young men, many of them into Eagle Scouts.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and while in the service participated as a test subject for the Apollo space program.

As long-time coach of the Mathews County FIRST Robotics team, he took them to place second globally in 2016.

He was a Past Master (1977) of Botetourt Lodge No. 7 of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie; son, John-Paul, and brothers, Richard and Donnie.
