Mathews High School track athlete Donovan Forrest raises his arms in victory after winning the 110m hurdles on Saturday in the VHSL Class 1 State Championships at James Madison University. Forrest also received a silver medal in the 100m dash, while the MHS boys’ 4x800 meter relay team of Seth James, Andrew Greve, Gavin Dustin and Keith Taylor also made it to the medals podium, setting a school record with its second-place finish.
