‘Stars of Tomorrow’ show to showcase up-and-coming talent

Virginia Li’l Ole Opry will showcase up-and-coming talent from the area in its “Stars of Tomorrow” show, which will be held on Saturday at Mathews High School’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30.
Special guest performers for this show include Shane Norris, Hunter Owens, Grayson Griffith, Hailey Denkinger, Elijah Clark, Natalie McDevitt, Hayden Owens and Alex McDevitt.
These young people will offer songs of their choosing from varied backgrounds and styles. You will hear everything from Waylon Jennings to Billy Joel to Katy Nichole and others. You might even get to see a new comedian.
“As I have attended MHS talent shows and music programs, it always amazes me how much talent there is in such a small area,” Opry president Lynda Smith said. “These young people will knock your socks off. They are the future and what the Opry is all about.”
