The Mathews Rotary Club members participated in MCVIC’s annual road cleanup on Saturday. The crew of 11, as in years past, cleaned the entire length of Church Street from Route 198 to Route 14, picking up 50 bags of trash, finding old tires, cigarette butts, small liquor bottles, fast-food wrappers and cups, diapers, old gloves, etc. The club’s next project is fundraising for Flags For Heroes which is currently ongoing through July 4, and Party With a Purpose at Williams Wharf on Saturday, June 1.
