Spring break is almost here, and Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism has something fun to do that week.
A Spring Break Parks Passport Camp will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, April 2, 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, meeting at Beaverdam Park’s Whitcomb Lodge. Participants will travel to a state park to hunt fossils, to Richmond to hike the shores of the James River and to Norfolk to board a battleship. Dress for the weather, bring a towel, lunch, drink and snack. The fee is $80 and the deadline to register is March 26.
KIDS CRAFT MARKET: Gloucester PRT is sponsoring a Kids Craft Market on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the court circle. Youth ages 18 and under can rent a booth to sell their crafts/art. The fee for each 10’x10’ space is $25 and the deadline to register is May 1. If space is still available after May 1, there will be a $10 late fee.
